Heminway speaks with New York Times about crowdfunded start-ups and fraud

Joan Heminway was recently interviewed by The New York Times about securities crowdfunding and related regulatory compliance issues. She has been working on a survey of compliance in the industry with CrowdCheck, a due diligence provider that helps firms generate accurate disclosures and helps investors evaluate funding opportunities to avoid becoming victims of fraud.

College of Law to host Title IX: History, Legacy and Controversy conference March 2-3

Title IX: History, Legacy and Controversy will explore current issues under Title IX that impact gender and racial equality and inclusion.  Topics include athletics and education, sexual harassment and assault on campus, racial inequality in schools and athletics, inclusion of LGBT students, pay equity and compensation, and media coverage of Title XI issues.
