College of Law to host Connecting the Threads business transactions conference

The University of Tennessee College of Law will host the sixth annual Business Law: Connecting the Threads conference on Sept. 30.

The one-day symposium features prominent business law professors from across the country – as well as invited guests and University of Tennessee professors and students – discussing topical business law issues.

Business Law Prof Blog Editors John Anderson, Colleen Baker, Joan Heminway, Doug Moll (with his co-author Benjamin Means) and Stefan Padfield will present on a range of business law topics, including insider trading compliance, issues at the intersection of cloud computing and securities trading, and anti-ESG legislation.

The event is organized by the student editorial team of Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law under the guidance of Professors Joan Heminway and George Kuney.

Kuney said the conference provides an opportunity for the College of Law community to interact with professionals in business law who share similar interests.

Continuing Legal Education credit is also available. More details are available here.  For those unable to attend, the proceedings will be published in Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law and also in a series of video presentations that will be made available on the College of Law website later in the semester.
