Tennessee student team wins national mock trial competition

A University of Tennessee College of Law team has won the 2022 national Phi Alpha Delta Mock Trial Competition. The team, including first-year student Kyle Mangrum, and second-year students Alex Allen, Grady McGinnity and Tommy Zoccola, excelled in three preliminary rounds before advancing to the finals and winning out over 21 teams.

PreLaw magazine has ranked the University of Tennessee College of Law as the sixth best value law school in the nation.  The ranking, published in PreLaw’s fall 2021 issue, relates directly to bar passage and employment rates in comparison to tuition, cost of living and indebtedness.

Five women take home top honors in 2021 Advocates’ Prize Competition

Two second-year students came away victorious from the College of Law’s 2021 Advocates’ Prize Moot Court Competition. Judges named Molly Green-Majewski and Holly Nehls, both second-year law students, as the best team, while Anne Crisp, a third-year law student, was selected as the winner of the Powell Prize for the best oralist.
