Alumna to serve as deputy director of TN Administrative Office of Courts

University of Tennessee College of Law alumna Michelle J. Long (’94) has been appointed the deputy director of the Tennessee Administrative Office of the Courts.  Long has served as the assistant commissioner of the division of Health Licensure and Regulation for the Tennessee Department of Health since 2012.

Brennan Foy, a 2019 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law, was awarded third place in the New York State Bar Association’s annual writing competition. Foy’s paper, titled “Animal Welfare and India’s Constitution: A Blueprint for the United States and the World,” started out as a passion project.

YWCA names Radice a leader in education

College of Law Professor and Director of Clinical Programs Joy Radice was honored this week at the YWCA of Knoxville and the Tennessee Valley Tribute to Women awards ceremony for her contributions to education.  In July, the organization announced the 21 Knoxville-area women selected as finalists “who exemplify the YWCA’s mission to empower women and eliminate racism.

Alumna appointed to serve as US Magistrate Judge

University of Tennessee College of Law alumna Cynthia Richardson Wyrick has been appointed to serve as a United States Magistrate Judge. Pamela L. Reeves, chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District and also a College of Law alumna, announced the news Tuesday.
