Tennessee Journal of Race, Gender, and Social Justice to host symposium exploring legislation affecting the LGTBQ+ population

The Tennessee Journal of Race, Gender, and Social Justice, a student-run and edited publication, will host a symposium on March 21, exploring the impact of recent legislation in the United States affecting healthcare and education resources for the LGBTQ+ population.

The event features legal scholars and lawyers engaged in challenging recent legislation. Panels will also feature social scientists and professors of psychology and anthropology whose work and community involvement focus on LGBTQ+ people and advocacy.

Senior Director of Transgender and Queer Rights at GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) and Professor of Law at Western New England University School of Law, Jennifer Levi, will deliver the keynote address.
