UT Law kicks off Big Orange Give campaign with $125,000 goal for 125th anniversary

The University of Tennessee College of Law kicks off its most ambitious online giving campaign to date today, as part of UT’s annual Big Orange Give campaign. In honor of the college’s 125th anniversary, UT Law hopes to raise $125,000 throughout the next five days to aid the college and university on its journey towards the Top 25.

The campaign began at 8:00 a.m. today and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, October 23.

In order to help the college reach its ambitious goal, UT Law alumni W. Allen Separk (’69) and Richard L. Rose (’74) have each pledged generous challenge gifts, if the college reaches certain giving milestones. If the college reaches $50,000 in donations, Separk has pledged to match with an additional $50,000. If the college reaches $60,000, Rose has pledged to donate an additional $10,000.

The campaign will be driven primarily through the Big Orange Give campaign website and the social media channels of the College of Law. Follow the college on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for updates throughout the week.

“Last year, the College of Law started Big Orange Give week with a goal of $15,000. By that Friday, we had raised $59,122 besting 2013’s results by more than $47,000,” said Lauren Herbstritt, UT Law’s director of annual giving and alumni affairs. “This year, we are setting our sights on a historic goal: $125,000 to celebrate 125 years.”
