Four University of Tennessee College of Law alumnae are among the young leaders under age 40 who are improving life in Tennessee.
Honored alumnae include Leslie Beale, founder and success coach with Profusion Strategies; Crista Cuccaro, assistant city attorney with the City of Knoxville; Valeria Gomez, an equal justice works Americorps fellow and staff attorney for the Volunteer Immigrant Defense Advocates; and Rachel Lokitz; associate general counsel and corporate secretary for Oak Ridge Associated Universities.
Forty individuals under age 40 were selected from nominations that were requested from the public beginning in July. Nominees were evaluated based on community involvement in civic, charitable or other organizations; and specific business accomplishments demonstrating leadership in their field.
Those on the list of 40 will be recognized by the Greater Knoxville Business Journal at an awards ceremony for honorees on Jan. 18 at the Knoxville Convention Center.
