Finding your direction, being your authentic self, and reflecting on circumstances to accomplish your goals might just be the key to making the world a better place.
This was the message from College of Law Career Center Director Brad Morgan for an audience at the University of Tennessee’s TEDxUTK on Feb. 10.
Morgan discusses the unexpected inspiration he has found through his seat choices.
Whether he’s making the 45-minute commute to work with his daughter seated behind him, or flying some distance seated next to a researcher who’s made scientific discoveries at the South Pole, there are lessons to be learned.
It’s all about perception, he says. You can choose to focus on the brake lights in front of you or shift your focus to the beauty of the trees through your passenger window.
Morgan was one of seven speakers selected to participate in the independently organized TED-format conference.
At TEDxUTK, speakers shared insights designed to inform and inspire new conversations and possibilities, and inspire listeners with meaningful messages that can improve their lives and the world around them.
