Meet our Faculty
The faculty of the University of Tennessee College of Law are committed mentors, teachers and scholars. They engage with students outside the classroom and frequently involve students in research for scholarly publications and other projects that advance their advocacy skills. They help students develop the knowledge and abilities necessary to succeed in the classroom and after graduation.
Our faculty’s achievements also have an enduring impact and their expertise makes them valuable contributors to legal publications, local and national news outlets, panels, and conferences.

Scholarship Spotlight
Wendy Bach
Professor Wendy Bach’s new book Prosecuting Poverty, Criminalizing Care was published last fall by the Cambridge University Press. Since then she has presented her findings at multiple conferences, was asked to serve on the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys task force on the Criminalization of Pregnancy and Reproductive Health, and is collaborating with colleagues across the country to launch a nation study tracking prosecutions based on pregnancy-related conduct after the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health.
Brian Krumm
Professor Brian Krumm obtained certification from the United States Patent and Trademark Office for the Transactional Clinic to provide pro bono trademark services to the public under his supervision. Since this time clinic students have successfully represented over 75 small businesses and nonprofit organizations to secure federal trademark registration. Trademark registration can be a valuable asset to organizations as they promote their products and services in the market place.
