Anna Swift
Anna Swift
Anna Swift is a newcomer to the adjunct faculty of the UT College of Law but is no stranger to the law school, having graduated as a UT Law Vol in 2014 with high honors. At UT, she was involved in various activities/leadership positions related to Advocates’ Prize Moot Court, National Professional Responsibility Moot Court, Public Interest Lawyering Practicum, and The Tennessee Journal of Law and Policy, to name a few. Since graduating, she has progressively gained legal experience in different legal positions as a judicial law clerk, associate/practicing attorney, and attorney advisor/supervisor and recently served as president of the East Tennessee Lawyers’ Association for Women (ETLAW). Presently she supervises a group of legal staff for the Social Security Administration (SSA), where she started as an attorney advisor/decision writer and has since joined the Agency’s National Women’s Affairs Advisory Council (NWAAC).
Swift, who has previously taught legal writing, looks forward to joining the adjunct faculty at UT and helping her students learn about and explore the legal system, particularly during this time of great legal activity. Notably, she and her family share their household with 10+ pets (to include but not limited to dogs, fish, bird(s), etc.). She enjoys any form of yoga, singing, writing, reading, and watching law-related movies like My Cousin Vinny.
