Jennifer Egelston
Jennifer Egelston is a mother, a US Army veteran, and a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law. Go Vols! She is a family law attorney who practices in Knox County and in surrounding counties. She handles matters involving marriage, divorce, child custody, child support, child abuse, spousal support, paternity, adoption, name changes, estate planning, LGBTQIA+ family law issues, and orders of protection. With her background in horse training and barn management, Jennifer also works with horse enthusiasts in legal matters involving equine-related sales, contracts, non-profits, business, and liability.
Jennifer is passionate about helping families resolve their conflicts in an economical and compassionate manner. Jennifer volunteers her time in the LGBTQIA+ and military veteran communities through pro bono work. In 2022, she was named Pro Bono Attorney of the Year by Legal Aid of East Tennessee. Jennifer has also served on KBA’s Access to Justice Committee and on the board of the East Tennessee Law Association for Women.
Jennifer is licensed to practice law in Tennessee and Ohio and is a Rule 31 listed family law mediator with special training in domestic violence. She is an adjunct professor at the University of Tennessee College of Law, where she teaches Family Law.
Jennifer enjoys spending her free time with her loved ones, including her daughter, Joey, partner, Ralph, her four horses: Cadillac, Dan, Jericho, and Venus, her two cats: Catniss and Azula, and her dog, Lily.
