University of Tennessee College of Law graduates account for nearly half of the Tennessee Bar Association’s 2019 Leadership Law Class.
Now in its 16th year, the Leadership Law training program is designed to equip Tennessee lawyers with the vision, knowledge and skills necessary to serve as leaders in their profession and local communities.
The six-month class is open to attorneys who are Tennessee Bar members and informs participants about leadership in the legal profession, issues in the courts, policymaking in state government and the importance of community service.
Of the 35 class members chosen for the upcoming class, 14 are UT College of Law alumni, including 2008 graduates Martesha Johnson, Leslie South, and Latisha Stubblefield; 2010 graduates Bill Clayton and Allison Jackson; 2011 graduates Paige Bernick, Audrey Calkins, Will Perry, Gil Schuette, Wells Trompeter and Kirby Yost; 2012 graduates Mitchell Panter and Nathan Tilly; and 2013 graduate Carlos Yunsan.
