Interim Head of Research and Instructional Services and Associate Professor

Eliza Boles is an experienced law librarian and legal educator with a strong background in practice technology and instructional services. Currently, she serves as the Interim Head of Research & Instructional Services at the University of Tennessee College of Law, where she leads a team of faculty librarians and student assistants. In this role, she mentors colleagues, spearheads outreach and marketing initiatives, and teaches several courses, including Advanced Legal Research and Law Practice Technology. Professor Boles is a prolific contributor to legal and library publications, particularly on topics such as legal research and the integration of technology in law practice.

With a Juris Doctorate from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Library and Information Science from Wayne State University, Professor Boles has dedicated her career to advancing legal education and library services. She has also held significant roles in professional associations, including the American Association of Law Libraries, where she has chaired several committees.
