Current Issues in Arbitration: “The New Tennessee Revised Uniform Arbitration Act"

Earlier in 2023, the General Assembly passed, and Governor Lee signed into law, the Tennessee Revised Uniform Arbitration Act (RUAA). This was the first significant change to the state arbitration law since 1983. This presentation will discuss the context and history behind the new law, and review the law’s key features with particular emphasis on how they will affect arbitration practice and clause-drafting in Tennessee.
