When confronted by the rise of the coronavirus, COVID-19, in February, College of Law students enrolled in the International Human Rights Law seminar course began to assess impacts that can flow from global pandemics and from governmental actions intended to curb their spread.

College of Law graduate Taylor Wirth has been named one of the 40 Best LGBTQ+ Lawyers Under 40 by the National LGBT Bar Association.  Each year the LGBT Bar recognizes LGBTQ+ legal professionals from among practicing lawyers, law professors, corporate counsel, members of the judiciary or politicians.

Loan repayment assistance available to recent graduates

Recent graduates with student debt who work in public interest law can receive assistance through a program being offered by the University of Tennessee College of Law. Four graduates each will receive up to $4,000 this year through the Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell, & Berkowitz, PC Loan Repayment Assistance Program.

College of Law announces dean candidates

The search committee for the next dean of the University of Tennessee College of Law has identified four candidates who will be visiting campus throughout the month of February. Candidates will be meeting with students, faculty, staff and alumni of the College of Law during their visits.
