Professor and Associate Director of the Law Library Michelle Cosby was recently elected 2017-2018 Chair of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) Council of Chapter Presidents.
Professor Cosby first joined AALL in 2003 as a student member, and recently served as the president of the Southeastern Chapter of the American Association of Law Libraries (SEAALL). Upon completion of her term, she was elected AALL Chair by the outgoing Chapter Presidents. Her new role will have her representing the issues of all 30 regional AALL Chapters and planning leadership training for new Chapter Presidents in 2018.
“Service to the law librarianship profession has always been important to me,” said Cosby, who is “ecstatic to serve SEALL, AALL, and UT Law in this capacity.”
Cosby begins her term as president in July, at the conclusion of the AALL Annual Meeting.
