The UT Law community will commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day and the legacy of the day’s namesake through a week of events that focus on service, dialogue, and community-building.
The college’s Martin Luther King Jr. Week will be January 16–22, 2016. The college’s Committee on Community and Inclusion, Office of the Director of Diversity and Inclusion, and UT Pro Bono are sponsoring the events.
Unless otherwise noted, participation in all events is open only to UT Law students, faculty, and staff.

Join the UT Center for Leadership and Service for UT’s MLK Day of Service. For more information, e-mail leadershipandservice@utk.edu.
(There is no charge to participate, but if a registrant doesn’t attend, the center will assess a $15 transportation fee.)

Join UT Law faculty, staff, students, and alumni for Knoxville’s annual MLK March and Celebration. The march begins at Tabernacle Baptist Church (2137 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue) and ends at the Greater Warner Tabernacle AME Zion Church (3800 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue), where the Memorial Tribute Service will occur.

Join faculty, students, and alumni in doing pro bono work while enjoying snacks and networking. Attendees will work in teams to answer the legal questions of low-income Tennesseans through Online Tennessee Justice.
