A $1 million gift was made on behalf of Summers, Rufolo & Rodgers, P.C., a Chattanooga-based law firm, to support students and faculty at the University of Tennessee College of Law.
The gift will fund scholarships for students interested in pursuing legal careers in advocacy, as well as the College of Law Center for Advocacy and Dispute Resolution, operating costs for the College of Law Legal Clinic, and the Douglas A. Blaze Leadership Scholarship.
This gift continues Summers, Rufolo & Rodgers, P.C.’s longstanding support of the law school and students who intend to specialize in advocacy.
“The College of Law is deeply grateful for the ongoing support of Summers, Rufolo & Rodgers,” says Lonnie T. Brown, Jr., dean and Elvin E. Overton Distinguished Professor of Law. “The firm’s significant and sustained commitment to the college is incredibly meaningful and has enabled us to further enhance the high-quality education and skills training for which our advocacy program is so well known.”
