College to pay tribute to Aaron Moore

The University of Tennessee College of Law community will commemorate student Joseph Aaron Moore at the college on Jan. 31.

Moore, 38, died unexpectedly on Jan. 1 at his home. He began attending law school in the fall of 2017, was employed as a law clerk at Shepherd & Associates in Maryville, and worked in the College of Law Legal Clinic.

 After earning a Ph.D. in renaissance literature and early modern studies from the University of Texas at Austin, Moore worked as a lecturer prior to law school. He also held a master’s degree in English literature from University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

A memorial service is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31 in the College of Law Rotunda.
