Non-Profit Clinic helps a wide range of community partners

Students in Professor Paula Williams’s Non-Profit Clinic have served a number of Knoxville-area community partners during their semester in the clinic—including two sports and education leagues for inner-city youth and an association of technical professionals—but their service has also extended beyond Knoxville, the state, and the country. For example, students have helped non-profit organizations that provide support for schools in Kenya, the Congo, West Africa, and the Philippines. In each endeavor, the students have counseled their clients about their choice of legal entity and have aided their clients in business planning and strategy.
