Joan Heminway, the W.P. Toms Distinguished Professor of Law at the University of Tennessee College of Law, recently spoke to The Real Deal, New York City’s most prominent real estate magazine, about legislative reform that has affected crowdfunding in the past few years.
“The movement [for reform] grew out of the fact that public and private offerings were only being shopped around to ‘elite investors,'” explains Heminway.
