Title IX: History, Legacy, and Controversy

March 2-3, 2017

10 general CLE credits available. $65 registration fee.

University of Tennessee College of Law
1505 West Cumberland Avenue, Knoxville

The Title IX: History, Legacy, and Controversy conference will address Title IX issues regarding athletics and education, campus sexual assault, procedural and evidentiary issues in sexual assault cases, media coverage of Title IX issues, and more.

In honor of Pat Summitt,
former University of Tennessee Lady Vols Basketball Coach

Acclaimed as the “face of the Title IX generation” and the winningest ladies’ basketball coach in history, Summitt dedicated much of her four decades as the Lady Vols coach to the growth of women in sports.

Our goal is to further develop the discussion surrounding Title IX while honoring her incredible legacy.
