The College of Law offers and supports various ways for students to engage with each other, faculty, and the community.

UT Law is an excellent place to learn the law
  • The college has hosted lectures by three U.S. Supreme Court justices in the past five years.
  • U.S. News and World Report ranks UT 65th among all law schools and in the top 34 public law schools.
  • U.S. News also ranks our clinical program 20th among all law schools and 9th among all public law schools.
  • The National Law Journal and the Princeton Review rank the college among their top law schools in the country.
  • UT is regularly ranked in the Social Science Research Network among the the top five U.S. law schools (based on total downloads per paper and new downloads per paper by our faculty).

As a UT Law student, you’ll learn from our expert faculty; five professors are Fulbright Scholars, and nearly all of our faculty have law firm or government experience. You’ll also work in the field—and even the courtroom—with professional attorneys and change lives through the nation’s longest-running clinical program.
