Eliza Boles

Interim Head of Research and Instructional Services and Assistant Professor

Eliza Boles joined UT Law in August 2016. As an assistant professor and digital resources and services librarian, her primary responsibility is to support the college’s research and teaching endeavors by managing and promoting the Law Library’s electronic resources and participating in the planning and teaching of legal research.

After becoming licensed to practice law in Tennessee in October 2010, Professor Boles worked as a solo practitioner attorney, serving indigent clients in both criminal and civil matters. However, she soon realized the library was her calling and returned to higher education to pursue a master’s degree in library and information science.

Professor Boles most recently held a position as the digital resources librarian at Lincoln Memorial University’s Duncan School of Law where she managed the school’s digital resource collection and provided workshops and seminars on legal research skills and instructional technology.
