UT Law to host emergency preparedness presentations

The University of Tennessee College of Law will host three emergency preparedness presentations developed by the UT Office of Emergency Management over the next few weeks.

Brad Walker, emergency management planning specialist, will lead the presentations and discuss procedures for response in the case of: fire, severe weather, hazardous material release, earthquakes, medical emergencies, tornados, active shooter situations, and bomb threat situations. He will reference the College of Law’s emergency planning document, which is available on the portal. He will also provide designated assembly areas in the event of an evacuation of the building.

The dates for the upcoming emergency preparedness presentations are Wednesday, February 24, Monday, February 29, and Friday, March 4. All three presentations will be held at noon in room 132. All three sessions will cover the same information, but provide several opportunities for faculty and staff to attend. Interested students are welcome as well.
