In rural Louisiana sits a dull gray building surrounded by a fence topped with barbed wire. Technically it’s not a prison, but it might as well be. It was also a destination for David Samples and Jared Allen, students at the University of Tennessee College of Law.

UT Law kicks off Title IX conference honoring Pat Summitt

UT Law kicked off its two-day “Title IX: History, Legacy, and Controversy” conference yesterday, spotlighting Title IX issues in athletics and education, campus sexual assault, media coverage of Title IX issues, LGBTQ students, and much more. The conference honors UT Lady Vols basketball coach Pat Summitt.

New Upper-Level Experiential Course Offerings

Former Clinic Director Val Vojdik has been hard at work bringing her experiential teaching knowledge to bear outside the clinic. Last summer she received a UT Teaching Impact Grant to redesign her Civil Rights Actions Course to focus on the water crisis in Flint, Michigan.
