Leadership education focus draws praise from Bloomberg Law

The University of Tennessee College of Law’s Institute for Professional Leadership has been recognized for “leading the way in educational innovations.” The Institute for Professional Leadership is one of only eight U.S. law school programs honored by Bloomberg Law’s Law School Innovation Program as a top-scoring innovative legal education program in student development.

College of Law names two students Hardwick Fellows for 2022-2023

Third-year law students Sarah Beth Cain and Alexander Wright have been named 2022-23 Hardwick Fellows for the University of Tennessee College of Law’s Institute for Professional Leadership. The students will play an important role supporting the institute’s curricular offerings and aiding in educational, research and outreach efforts.

Third-year law student Stefan Kostas has been named the University of Tennessee College of Law’s Hardwick Fellowship recipient for 2021-2022. Kostas will work closely with the Institute for Professional Leadership providing research and communication support for the institute’s curricular offerings and community engagement.

Alumnus recognized for advancing pro bono efforts

Lauren Baxter has been selected to serve as the University of Tennessee College of Law’s Access to Justice and Pro Bono Program Fellow.  In her role, Baxter will provide guidance for the College of Law’s student pro bono program, recruiting student volunteers and attorneys to offer pro bono services.

Two students selected as Hardwick-Woods Fellows

Third-year law students Allen Heaston and Sallie Papajohn have been named the University of Tennessee College of Law’s Hardwick-Woods Fellowship recipients for 2019-2020. Heaston and Papajohn will work closely with the Institute for Professional Leadership as teaching assistants for the Institute’s curricular offerings, and they will also offer research and communication support.
