College of Law to host Connecting the Threads business transactions conference

The University of Tennessee College of Law will host the sixth annual Business Law: Connecting the Threads conference on Sept. 30. The one-day symposium features prominent business law professors from across the country – as well as invited guests and University of Tennessee professors and students – discussing topical business law issues.

The fifth annual “Business Transactions: Connecting the Threads” event will take place at the College of Law on Sept. 24.  This one-day program will be offered virtually via Zoom, and lawyers will hear from business law professors from the Business Law Prof Blog who are currently teaching at various schools across the United States.

Kuney receives award for transactional law teaching skills

College of Law Professor George Kuney has been named the 2021 Tina L. Stark Award winner for excellence in teaching transactional law and skills.   The award, established by Emory Law School and presented at its biennial Transactional Law and Practice Conference, is named for the founding director of the school’s Center for Transactional Law and Practice.
