The College of Law Legal Clinic is providing budding entrepreneurs and community members with the legal assistance they need to make their business goals a reality. Knoxville’s aspiring entrepreneurs are receiving financial support for their innovative start-up ideas with support from the Oak Ridge National Laboratories Innovation Crossroads program.

UT Law student places second in transactional competition

For the third consecutive year, the University of Tennessee College of Law has earned top honors in Baylor University’s “The Closer” competition. Third-year law student John Adgent placed second in the event that took place in Waco, Texas throughout Martin Luther King, Jr. Day weekend. Adgent was coached by Professor Brian Krumm.

The University of Tennessee College of Law’s Business Law and Trademark Clinic is serving as a teaching model for a professor from China who’s striving to develop a similar clinical operation at Renmin University.
