Knoxville may be a smaller city, but the nightlife scene is anything but. The city positively lights up at night as residents take advantage of the city’s strong local music scene, eateries, and entertainment. The following local venues have been rated as some of the best nightlife spots in Knoxville, and a growing millennial population is ensuring that more spots are opening up all the time.

Within the city, Market Square is the cultural and physical center of downtown nightlife in Knoxville with numerous top-ranked restaurants and events like “Jazz on the Square” on Wednesday evenings and the Farmer’s Market held multiple times throughout the year. Parking is free at the city-owned State Street garage and at the Locust Street garage after 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and throughout the weekend.
