Our city and county could not function as well as they do without the day-to-day leadership and work provided by our local government. Like any local government, the City of Knoxville and Knox County have a multitude of boards, commissions, and committees that work together to create a better tomorrow for residents.

Additionally, Knoxville is one of three locations in the state where the Tennessee Supreme Court regularly convenes to take up civil and criminal cases from lower state courts and interpret the laws and constitutions of Tennessee and the United States.
