About

Professor Wolitz joined the faculty in August 2011 after teaching for five years at the Georgetown University Law Center. Prior to that, he was an attorney with the U.S. Department of Commerce where he advised the Under Secretary for Industry and Security on U.S. export controls and non-proliferation regulations. Following law school he practiced with Morrison & Foerster in San Francisco and was a member of the John Walker Lindh defense team.

His particular interest is comparative criminal justice with a longstanding interest in Japan’s distinctive criminal regime. He speaks fluent Japanese.
