Donna Davis

Donna DavisDonna Davis is Of Counsel with Butler, Vines & Babb, PLLC in Knoxville, Tennessee. Ms. Davis received her nursing diploma from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Memphis, Tennessee, a B.S. in Education from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and her J.D. from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She is a past president of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association and a member of the American Association for Justice (formally the Association of Trial Lawyers of America), where she served on the Board of Trustees for the National College of Trial Advocacy, and has been a faculty member of both the Essential Trial College and the Ultimate Trial College. She has also served on the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility and was a member of the Tennessee Supreme Court Commission for Alternative Dispute Resolution and the TBA Bench-Bar Committee. Ms. Davis is a certified mediator and has mediated cases filed in both State and Federal Court. In April of 1996 Ms. Davis became board certified as a Civil Trial Law Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. In 1997 she was certified as a Civil Trial Law Specialist by the State of Tennessee Commission on Legal Education and Specialization. She is Past President of the Hamilton Burnett American Inn of Court and Past Chair of the Dean’s Council for the University of Tennessee College of Law. For the past 26 years Ms. Davis' main emphasis of practice has been in the area of plaintiff medical malpractice, products liability, aviation and personal injury cases. In addition, she has served as adjunct faculty at the University of Tennessee College of Law where she taught Advanced Trial Practice. Ms. Davis is a frequent lecturer on medical-legal issues and trial techniques. Her background as a registered nurse has proven beneficial in her representation of clients. She has an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell.
