Concentration in Advocacy and Dispute Resolution

There has never been a greater need for zealous, skilled advocacy on behalf of individuals and institutions in our courts, as well as a need for wisdom, people skills, and creativity for the peaceful resolution of those disputes. The advocacy concentration allows second- and third-year students to focus their studies on the legal and practical skills aspects of courtroom and alternative dispute resolution methods. Successful entrepreneurs, companies, and corporations require the guidance of legal counsel to negotiate major agreements and facilitate day-to-day business. The business transactions curriculum allows second- and third-year students to focus their studies on the legal aspects of business and finance, emphasizing the needs of business concerns both large and small.
