The University of Tennessee College of Law is among the top 20 Best Value law schools in the nation, according to The National Jurist magazine.
The magazine looks at a number of academic and financial variables, including tuition, student debt accumulation, bar passage rate, cost of living, and employment. UT Law’s jump to the top 20 is due in large part to the college’s increased employment rate, which accounts for 35 percent of each school’s Best Value ranking.
“We are proud of our increasing success in securing jobs for our students as we prepare them for their legal careers right after graduation without the added worry of burdensome financial debt,” said Melanie D. Wilson, dean of the College of Law. “Our affordable and accessible legal education allows our students to gain practical skills and experience while achieving academic excellence in the Volunteer spirit.”
The complete list of the top 20 Best Value law schools will be featured in the September issue of The National Jurist magazine.
