UT Law to host admissions workshop, recruitment fair on Sept. 9

Potential law school applicants in East Tennessee are invited to attend the Law School Admission Workshop and Recruitment Fair on Wednesday, September 9, at the University of Tennessee College of Law.

The workshop and recruitment fair are free and no pre-registration is necessary. Anyone considering law as a career who wants to know more about the law school admissions process should attend.

Scheduled activities include:

Admission Workshop, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., College of Law, room 132—Panelists will discuss how undergraduates can prepare for law school, the law school admission process, the LSAT, and financing a legal education, and provide job market information for recent graduates.

Q&A with Admissions Officers, 12:30–1:30 p.m., College of Law, room 132—Prospective students can learn about the admission process and seek advice during a panel discussion featuring admissions officers from the law schools of Emory University, the University of Memphis, the University of Mississippi, and Vanderbilt University.

Recruitment Fair, 2–4 p.m., College of Law Commons—Admissions representatives from law schools throughout the Southeast will meet with prospective students. In addition to UT, law schools planning to participate include the Appalachian School of Law, Baylor University, Belmont University, University of Cincinnati, Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, Emory University, Georgia State University, University of Kentucky, Lincoln Memorial University, Louisiana State University, University of Memphis, Mercer University, University of Mississippi, Mississippi College, Nashville School of Law, University of South Carolina, Stetson University, Vanderbilt University, Wake Forest University, and College of William and Mary.

The UT College of Law is located at 1505 W. Cumberland Ave. Paid parking is available in the Volunteer Hall Garage behind the law school on White Avenue.
